There are nine Premier League clubs with more goals than Manchester City and our most prolific player in the top-flight has only scored four goals this campaign, so it’s no surprise we’re being linked with attackers.
Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard was recently mentioned as a potential transfer target, but he’s been out of form and isn’t likely to be offloaded midway through a season. Sport have suggested Adama Traore is another option, but it makes little sense to sign him as he’s also been profligate.
Where will Manchester City finish this season?

The 24-year-old joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Middlesbrough in 20218 and has gone on to make 109 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals with 16 assists. Traore impressed last season, having a hand in 13 goals from 37 league games, which is why he’s on the radar of so many clubs.
Pep Guardiola has Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Ferran Torres at his disposal, however, so it makes little sense to add Traore to the squad. The Spanish international has been in woeful form this season too, so we may be even more put off from making a move.
Traore has failed to score or make an assist in 17 league outings and hasn’t registered a shot on target since mid-December, so why would Guardiola identify him as the solution to our scoring woes?
