Samuel Edozie is set to join Bayer Leverkusen this summer and has been in Germany to finalise talks, but Sam Lee of The Athletic say he’s still a Manchester City player while a ‘fee is being agreed’ between the two clubs.
The 19-year-old doesn’t have a future at the Etihad Stadium with Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva standing in his way of getting first-team football, so a move away would suit all parties.

Edozie has been robbed of a full pre-season at Leverkusen as the Bundesliga outfit haven’t met City’s demands. He’s training with their U23s while a deal is pending, so he’s keeping fit in Manchester at youth level until he can formally join Leverkusen.
The 19-year-old, who joined City from Millwall in 2019, has scored five goals with six assists from 22 games for the U18s and scored eight goals with three assists from 33 games for the U23s.
He looks to have a bright future but hasn’t done enough in his three years at City to get Pep Guardiola’s attention. Leverkusen rate him highly, however, and may need a replacement for Moussa Diaby, so Edozie could fit the bill.
