57% Say No To A Third John Terry Bid

On our last poll we asked the question…

Should City make a third bid for John Terry?

Here is the result, in descending order.

Nope 57%
Yup 43%

Chelsea FC has said their Captain is NOT for sale and as far as they are concerned the matter is closed, but is it?

Here is what a few VMC members have been saying…

bigbri – It does make you wonder why we have put in a second bid for him when JT said he wanted to remain at chelski. There must be something in it because I doubt we’d go in a second time just to look like fools.

eighthsin – Fair play if we made a bid, England captain- a leader and defender. It is foolish to think that we haven`t lined up a number of defenders on our wish list and Terry should be on there as well as a few others including Lescott.

It is unsurprising that it was rejected out of hand if indeed we did inquire, better luck with the other names on the list!

Thaibluefan – Strange that this should go out on the Chelsea website and nothing in the media. Something fishy me thinks…maybe more to come on this.

BlueWolfie – I had read somewhere that JT worries that he won’t be Captain at Chelsea for much longer – maybe something is bubbling under the surface, although I still can’t see us ever prying him away from there.

dakeb – City bid to get JT thinking of a big transfer payoff. sounds like he is already slightly unsure of his future under ancelotti, and city could be hoping despite Chelsea saying hands-off, that JT himself could engineer a move, rather like SWP did the other way a few years ago. we will see.

Mike Hunt – When Cook came in he said we would bid for players knowing we didn’t have a chance of signing them yet.

I think we have put a bid in to put the fear of god into Chelsea and to pretty much poke them in the eye and say ‘ we aren’t scared of you and we are going to be after you and get ahead of you so watch your back’

All we have done here is put a marker down to everyone for them to watch themselves because City mean business.

Our next signing will be?
