In one week’s time, the picture will be much clearer as to which club will confirm the break up of the ‘Big Sky Four’ Premier League monopoly. It rests on a knife edge…

So who will it be out of Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City that will achieve that Champions League Holy Grail?

The deposed Liverpool have their sights set on the Europa League and you can bet your bottom euro that wherever their players are this week they’ll be advised by their fans to roll over for Chelsea this weekend such is their hatred of united.

Villa, written off last month having been 7 points behind 4th place on 19th March have drawn level with that position having admirably grafted to steady their ship after humiliation at Chelsea. Having played a game more they are still in with a chance.

Spurs have had their seemingly unstoppable progress checked by the rags and even though they can surely be assured of a home banker and a chance to improve their goal difference against Bolton, they know they have to come to Manchester and win next Wednesday.

City meanwhile have stalled in their last two games against Arsenal and united, opting for a defence based make sure approach that realised 1 point at the Emirates. But it’s now widely touted around SportCity that Mancio intends to open his side up and go on the offensive against Villa and Spurs at Eastlands.

All three squads will know that if they win their remaining games they are either there or in with a massive shout.

A mouthwatering week of football beckons and the most exciting finish to a Premier League season is now certain!
