In a shocking admission to Sport/Foot Magazine, Emmanuel Adebayor claims that Italian giants Juventus have reached an agreement with Manchester City over a loan move in January.

The 26-year-old Togolese has so far failed to impress City boss Roberto Mancini this season, restricting the former Arsenal man to just a handful of starts.

The media has long been speculating over the future of the £25m striker, with rumours of a rift between manager and player growing each week. Previously this had been denied, but it appears that there is some substance behind the stories after all.

Adebayor finally broke his silence, publicly revealing his frustrations at not starting for City, declaring: ‘I don’t know what I did wrong to Roberto Mancini, but he never makes me play.

‘I’m going to change air during the transfer window in January.

‘And I can tell you that City has already reached an agreement with Juventus for a loan.

‘I therefore expect to be able to leave in December.’

Juventus, the club that he has continued to be linked with the former African Player of the Year since his Arsenal days, are reported by Sky Sports to have already signed one non-EU player this season, even though new Serie A regulations allow for no more than one player from outside the EU to sign.

This would mean that either summer signing Milos Krasic is on his way, or Adebayor will be ineligible to play.
