Adios Robinho

I don’t pretend to speak for the majority of Manchester City fans, but the general feeling is that Robinho has failed to make the grade and its time to let him go.

How many times do we have to watch his lack-lustre / poor performances, and general ‘I don’t give a monkey’s I’m only here for the money’ attitude before MCFC CEO Garry Cook and Roberto Mancini finally realise he’s not up to scratch.

Selected comments taken from our 100% City Chat forum.

bluemooner_mcfc‘Well I’ve defended him as much as I can but now is the time to get rid because he simply doesn’t give a s**t.’

‘The fresh start I’ve given every player has ran out now and I can’t fault Garrido but as for Robinho CYA.’

tevez32‘What’s happened to that player from the start of last season. Some wonderful goals, flicks etc then it all went downhill fast. He was shocking today running around like a drunk ball-boy against a team of giants. It was like a kid having a game with his dad and his dad’s mates. Felt for Tevez and Bellamy they needed to work 500% to make up for the likes of Robinho and Petrov.’

fifthcolumnblue‘No, it doesn’t stop ordinary people, but it might stop primadonnas like Robinho who is more concerned about the World Cup, and isn’t really that bothered about wearing the sky blue shirt.’

‘I’m not defending him just suggesting why he looks so disinterested.’

mcfcirish‘Surely on current form, Robi would be lucky to be picked as a squad player for the World Cup.’

pacific_ocean_blue‘IMO he’s a fantastically gifted player just unsuited for the EPL and the sooner a parting of ways occurs the better for all concerned.’

Buzz Lightyear‘Disappointed with Robinho, but if you still take home 150k whether win lose or draw, that’s not what we want in a player. He is not interested and he will always be like that wherever he goes. Yes a brilliant player when he wants to be.’

Bluedub‘All you can ask of any player is 100% effort every time he pulls on the shirt, I can’t remember the last time Robi gave City his all. I say if Barca come a calling we should get what we can for him. It’s a shame because the lad is class on his day; he just doesn’t seem up for the fight.
