City wouldn’t want to lose any player at the moment but ahead of our ‘make or break’ Champions League tie, and a crucial Premier League period, we definitely wouldn’t have wanted to lose Sergio Aguero.

Vincent Kompany is always a miss at the back but Aguero has almost single-handed carried us through some games, with his hat-trick against Munich setting up this Roma showdown tomorrow night.

Injury against Everton was always keeping him out of the game at the Stadio Olimpico but the original timescale of his absence being around four-weeks looks as though it’s been undercooked as another scan has shown a twisted medial knee ligament!

This is the same injury sustained by David Silva at the end of October, and he hasn’t returned since…

Edin Dzeko will now have a lot of responsibility on his shoulders, he might have scored only twice in the Premier League this season but the striker has come up trumps before so now’s the time to deliver again Edin.

No pressure!
