Applaud the Club

Although £15 a head for adults and £5 a head for concessions may still seem a tad too expensive to watch City take on the might of Scunthorpe United, it is my opinion that the club have got the best possible deal for their supporters. Often criticised for not listening, the club has this time gone out on a limb for the supporters by subsidising prices at their own expense.

It appears that City wanted to price the game at £15 and £5, Scunthorpe were looking at £22 and £12 to make a tidy packet and ensure a smaller City contingent in the stadium. The FA was called in to arbitrate and finally settlled on a figure of £18 and £5, the price Scunthorpe supporters will pay. City, it seems, were reluctant to ask the supporters to pay that figure and have therefore agreed to subsidise every adult supporter to the tune of £3.

City are to be applauded for this move and it shows a move in the right directionfrom the clubs heirachy. Well done.
