The Manchester City players had their final ‘full on’ training session on Friday ahead of Sunday’s trip to Anfield. The lads looked relax, full of energy and raring to go.
Pep delighted the local media by telling them that everyone, apart from Ilkay Gundogan, was fit. The City boss added that he and his staff would assess whether Gunda would be available following his muscle strain during the mid-week Champions League tie away in Hoffenheim sometime over the weekend.
We had suspected Fabien Delph, and it was confirmed, was still on the physio’s bench and unavailable.
Keven De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy have returned to training, which of course is great news following their respective injuries. Original estimates for KDB’s return was November, however, it is conceivable he could play a part in Sunday’s game. Mendy is also in contention and could return and slot into his usual left-back position.

A real shot in the arm and confidence booster if we see one or both, even if it’s only for half an hour going toe-to-toe against the opposition.
The following poll will close shortly after the final whistle.
Come on CITY!
