Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to go 13 points clear of the West Londoners and maintain their 11-point advantage over second-placed Liverpool.
City made it 12 consecutive wins in the Premier League with their narrow victory over their title rivals and Joao Cancelo was one of many players who impressed over 90 minutes.
Fans on social media couldn’t help but laud his effort. The 27-year-old is having a great season under Pep Guardiola despite operating in a makeshift left-back role.
Cancelo grabbed the assist for City’s winner against Chelsea and was given a player rating of 8/10 by Manchester Evening News for his overall contribution.
