Bellamy Blues

These days Manchester City is being linked with every striker ever associated with Blues boss Mark Hughes, but why on earth is Craig Bellamy’s name being mentioned?

The 29-year-old former Newcastle and Celtic forward suffered an horrendous first season at West Ham due to constant injuries following his £7.5m move from Liverpool last summer, and now the Hammers are thought to be attempting to claw back some of their transfer fee by off loading the Welshman.

Nevertheless, why on earth should Manchester City even consider signing the troublemaker?

Perhaps the club has no intention of doing so, however the tabloids have picked up on this story and by the looks of it, intend milking every drop.

Here is what Vital Man City regular Buzz Lightyear had to say on the subject:

‘Please not Bellamy, not only is he injury prone, but there is something wrong with a player who cannot settle and clubs are very quick to offload him. Having said that Sparky had him and I just wonder if he would have him back…’

…’If you have a striker problem, wait a minute what striker problem? We have strikers and I always admired Bill Shankley for this he didn’t sell a player and then get a replacement, he got the replacement first.’

…’So please, not Bellamy.’
