The MUEN has just broken the news that Glasgow Celtic are in discussions with City and Craig Bellamy over a potential season long loan move…

There won’t be much surprise across Planet Blue at this development. Bellamy went public this week over his City unrest, doubt and concern. Not only did he leave a good deal of City fans again bemoaning one of our players talking that bit too much about himself, but word from within the club is that he infuriated the Blues hierarchy by crossing over a line of confidentiality at a crucial point in the squad’s pre season preparations.

It is alledged that he is about to be fined upwards of £160,000 for his comments.

The 31 year old tenacious striker has looked out of sorts since Mark Hughes was fired last Christmas and had publicly stated that his long standing knee injuries meant he could no longer play a full season.

It’s this issue that appears to have been at the crux of Bellers angst with strict City boss Roberto Mancini. He wanted a personalised training regime but the Blues chief was having none of it as he reinforced City’s intense training with the introduction of a steep ‘fitness hill’ at Carrington.

With Bellers, a huge fans favourite, yes you get controversy, yes you get the unexpected but you get commitment and will to win by the Welsh Dragon load. That is a fire that City must now crucially aim to maintain from another quarter this season.

Celtic gaffer and ex Blue Neil Lennon has confirmed that a bid is underway to return Bellamy to Parkhead five years on from his previous loan spell in Scotland.

Let’s face it. No Blue wants him coming up against us this season so here’s hoping the move goes through as amicably as possible.
