Bellers To Wales, Ireland Back To Youth

The various sources abound with stories that Craig Bellamy has signed a loan agreement with is home town club Cardiff City.

Many fans are mortified at this as he was one of the best overall players last season and his contribution t the first team effort was priceless.

This move might be equitable for both sides. It gives Bellers the chance of seeking to help Cardiff’s Bluebirds get into the top flight whilst living at home with his family, plus it ensures that he doesn’t turn up in a Tottenham, Everton, Aston Villa or Fulham shirt and come back to haunt City. We just know he would have done!

Bellers would have been one of the first names in my 25 but something seems to have gone down at Eastlands and he has been shunted out the door.

The same route looks as though it is being used to unsettle or even remove Stephen Ireland, probably our best player 2 seasons ago. It is starting to appear that having a good season for City amounts to the kiss od death.

Ireland has been instructed, apparently, to train with the second string because he won’t go to Aston Villa without a substantial pay-off. Although I can understand the motives here, surely this wonderful player wants to play first team football somewhere. If his opportunities are going to be non-existent at Eastlands surely the best option is to try somewhere else?

Certain publications are calling into question Mancini’s man-management but at the end of the day if he doesn’t want a player, it has to be respected as the Club looks to move forward and there probably isn’t any real doubt that Toure Yaya and David Silva are better players that the 2 they will depose. I have stated on numerous occasions that I would have kept Bellamy as my insurance policy.

So City moves onwards and hopefully upwards and the margins can be quite brutal as we are witnessing now. We were effectively 2 goals against away from the Champions League last season (if we’d not lost against Stretford and Spurs) and a cynic might say only a minor tweek was needed.

What we are seeing is almost a major organ transplant with the written press relishing every move we make and trying to move in for the kill. City must be under so much pressure to get it right this season.
