Morgan Rogers is yet to make a first-team appearance for Manchester City and could benefit from getting more competitive football after being stuck in the reserves, so a loan move away in January could be ideal.
Matt Scrafton of the Blackpool Gazette says Blackpool are looking to capitalise on the situation by bringing the 20-year-old to Bloomfield Road until the end of the season.
Rogers joined City from West Brom in 2019 and has gone on to make score two goals from six games for the U18s, one goal with one assist from six games for the U19s and six goals with four assists from 25 games for the U21s.
He spent 2020/21 on loan at Lincoln City (28 games, six goals, four assists) and impressed in League One, but his Bournemouth (17 games, one goal) move the following season didn’t go to plan.
Blackpool are currently 22nd in the Championship, scoring just 28 goals in 26 games this season, so time will tell if the England U20 international can impress in the second tier this time.
