Mark Hughes told mcfc.co.uk that Valeri Bojinov will feature in a practice match at Carrington on Tuesday, explaining:

‘We arranged a behind-closed-doors game today, and we were looking for him to play a half or maybe even an hour. That will do him good, but he has been training at full tilt with the rest of the squad for a week now. He’s looked good, but what he needs is games.’

The Bulgarian showed fans a glimpse of his talent after a spectacular goal against AC Milan in a pre-season friendly after missing most of the last season with a cruciate ligament injury. Unfortunately, Bojinov ruptured his Achilles tendon before Manchester City’s first league game against Aston Villa and has yet to feature this season.
