Wilfried Bony hasn’t found regular first-team football easy to come across since his arrival at Man City with him being linked with a possible exit and potentially this month, which comes fresh from his decision to publically question the decision of Manuel Pellegrini to drop him in favour of a (in his view) unfit Sergio Aguero.

The £28m signing from Swansea a year ago has been linked with a return to his former club but this isn’t anything more than ‘speculation’ according to Bony himself who has told the BBC he’s more than happy at the Etihad Stadium and isn’t looking to go anywhere.

‘I’m happy at the club, all this speculation is not true. I have a contract so I’m happy and I think I’m at one of the top clubs in the United Kingdom.’

Since his arrival, with many of his appearances coming from the bench, the 27-year-old has often played second fiddle to the likes of Aguero, as he is again this season now that the Argentine international is fully fit.

This season has seen him score eight-goals in 23-matches with Bony adding, despite admitting to his disappointment at being dropped last month, he’s got no regrets about making this move with him happy and ‘blessed’ to be at one of the best clubs in the world.

‘I have no regrets about joining Man City. We play in the Champions League and we’re one of the top clubs in the world. I’m happy here and I can just say I’m blessed.’
