Turkish giants Galatasaray confirmed that they have secured the loan signing of Manchester City striker Jo on a six month contract.

Everton signed the 22-year-old Brazilian on a season-long loan last summer with the option of a permanent deal, however, his time at Goodison park was tarnished when he absconded to Brazil, leaving David Moyes’ side in a difficult situation over the busy Christmas period.

Subsequently, Moyes suspended Jo and has decided to cut his loan short, the lanky front-man only managing a pathetic goal-haul of two this term.

Jo now heads off to Istanbul where he will link up with former Manchester City midfielder and Brazilian international Elano, in a bid to resurrect his career.
