Speaking in a post match interview with Sky Sports after our 5-0 demolishing of Burnley, Man City youngster and Man of the Match Phil Foden described club icon David Silva as a ‘legend of the club‘ and ‘unbelievable’ when asked if he could replace the Spaniard in future.

Pep Guardiola’s side, during their second Premier League game back since football’s untimely postponement, put on a classy display as the Sky Blues rushed to a 5-0 victory at the Etihad – with goals from Foden (2), Riyad Mahrez (2), and Silva himself rounding off a superb evening.

Following the memorable performance, which saw City make it two wins from two, Foden refused to tip himself as a replacement for club legend Silva – going on to state that he doesn’t want to think about the tag too much.

Responding to the post-match footage, some City supporters have praised the 20-year-old – lauding him as ‘very humble’ and ‘pure class‘ in his response to Silva’s legacy.
