Blues with a creative flare could soon be seeing their designs on the shelves at the Manchester City stores, as the CityStore is launching a ‘Design a t-shirt’ competition in a bid to find some exciting new styles for fans.

Following the success of the junior ‘Design a t-shirt’ competition, which has seen 13 year old Megan Roberts’ t-shirt design on sale in the stores, the CityStore is now inviting over 16’s to send in their designs.

City fans are being encouraged to embrace their creative side and design a Manchester City t-shirt they feel captures the essence of the club. The t-shirts that are deemed strong enough to appeal to other fans by the judging panel, made up of Manchester City FC, CityStore and Umbro experts, will be produced to go on sale in the CityStores.

Commenting on the competition, CityStore marketing manager Danny Taylor said…

‘The fans are at the heart of this football club and we wanted to give them the opportunity to create something that can be enjoyed by fellow Blues.’

‘When we undertook the junior competition earlier in the year, we didn’t expect to receive so many quality designs, so we have high hopes for this competition and hope the older fans can match the exciting standards of the junior Blues.’

To take part in the competition, simply send your design to Manchester City, Mere PR, 8 Cecil Road, Hale, Altrincham, WA15 9PA including your name, address, age and contact number, or alternatively scan in your design and email to manchestercity@mere.co.uk by 15 April.
