Pep won’t take the struggling League One club for granted; nevertheless, the Dutch 21-year-old center-back has returned to training following his successful knee operation in May.  Also, reports suggest his leg has coped well while kicking a ball. In other words, he’s fit and raring to go.

Sandler, who has been capped by the Netherlands U20s came to City in the summer from Dutch side PEC Zwolle. By all accounts, he is a product of the Ajax youth system.

Manchester City FC was coy about releasing details about the length of his contract and the amount paid to Zwolle, but the fee was muted to be in the £millions.
