Since his Manchester City arrival Ederson Moraes has, in my mind been a breath of fresh air.
His composure, passing and all round football brain / ability blows me away. I could say, in fact I am going to say, he is my favourite City keeper of all time. And he’s only been at the club for less than a season.

In their day Joe Hart, Shay Given and Joe Corrigan (and more) all stood up to the test but Ederson is a step-up compared to some of my previous favourite all-time keepers.
I know I am probably blowing hot air but, when he plays I see the team at ease. No more dodgy keeper thoughts, no more panic, no more feelings of, ‘please don’t shoot on target’ as I do when Claudio Bravo plays between the sticks.
City v Basel (07/03/18)
Talking to the Manchester City official website ahead of tonight’s Champions League second leg tie the former Benfica keeper said he was hugely enjoying life in England.
‘We’ve an important game against Basel, but it’s also important to be able to enjoy these games and the victories against Chelsea and Arsenal.
‘We are focused on our next challenge now, the Champions League, but we can’t feel comfortable at all, we must be always careful and doubtful.’
#Ederson is improving at a very fast rate, and on all levels. His ball-playing abilities are easily the best in the league, but it should not hinder the fact that his shot-stopping skills are also among the best. pic.twitter.com/df9fCB0OLa

‘Despite the result away, this game is extremely important. We are going to start the game focused and aim to win.
‘For us the key is to keep on working hard to be focus, like we have been doing this season, that’s how we get to win games. It won’t be different this time.’
