Charlie Stays At The Chaos Factory!

Mark Hughes evidently has strong powers of persuasion and I for one would not want to be trapped in an office with our erstwhile Derby Day nemesis for too long…

It’s refreshing to see a top flight player being prepared to stick around, shun a pay rise in the capital and fight for his place at City. Vedran Corlukla is a gifted young player, there is no doubt, and has gone on record before in saying how the people at Eastlands have helped him so much to settle in England.

Hughes said: “I am a huge admirer of Vedran. He is a top-class player with a bright future ahead of him and I am delighted that he continues to be a part of our plans at City. It is a real boost for everyone at the club.”

You’re not kidding, Bluesy. Now Hughes must turn his attention to sorting out the MCFC futures of the no doubt ill advised Michael Johnson and Stephen Ireland whilst preparing the squad for an important week out on the pitch.

Meanwhile, the nonsense that is the Daily Mirror for one, have been foaming at the mouth over a coming Manchester City meltdown. Sure, our future rests on an absolute knife-edge but if we can keep our squad together this summer and fend off the creeping adavances of The Big Four, Hughes might just be able to achieve something by January when the vultures will be circling again.

As for the footy itself, Manchester City are never more dangerous than when we have been written off and our backs are too the wall. Just ask any rag.
