City Away To Palace Or Stoke In FA Cup

The Blues have drawn Crystal Palace or Stoke City away in the FA Cup Fourth Round. The tie will take place on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of January…

The Eagles and The Potters fought out a nil-niller at Selhurst Park in the Third Round and will fight for the right to take on the English Champions in an imminent Britannia Stadium replay which will take place next week on an unconfirmed night.

City famously beat Stoke in the FA Cup Final close to two years ago but this time around will not have Potters nemesis Yaya Toure on board due to international commitments. The Citizens have not won at Stoke since January 1999 in the third tier when Gerard Wiekens scored the only goal.

Under Roberto Mancini almost three years ago, The Blues could not overcome Stoke in the Fifth Round and went down 3-1 in extra time in a replay in the Potteries.

As for Palace, City and The Eagles last met in the FA Cup in January 1981’s Third Round when Malcolm Allison returned to Manchester with the London club to face John Bond’s Wembley bound Blues only to go down 4-0.
