Manchester City’s under pressure manager, Mark Hughes has become the bookmakers favourite as the next Premier League manager to lose his job.

Some parts of the world, including Asia are refusing to take any more bets, especially as rumours circulating around the industry suggest Sparky will be out of a job as early as next week. Meanwhile, bookies in the UK are pricing his departure as low as 4/7 favourite.

New manager

Should the ex-Blackburn boss receive his P45 the following names are high up on the bookmakers list of possible candidates.

Mancini R – 4/5
Hiddink G – 9/2
Mourinho J – 15/2
Scolari P – 12/1
Jol M – 20/1
Rijkaard F – 20/1
A Wenger – 25/1
Bilic S – 25/1
Moyes D – 33/1
Eriksson S – 33/1
Houllier G – 33/1
Keegan K – 50/1

I have no doubt Mark’s future will be look an awful lot better if City beat Sunderland on Saturday. Should the wheel however come off and the Black Cats get something from the game…well, I wonder?
