Manchester City executive chairman Garry Cook remains cool on the long running Ronaldinho saga.

The club has made it perfectly clear that they are willing bend over backwards and do whatever it takes to bring Barcelona’s Ronaldinho to Eastlands however, there must become a time when City are forced into drawing a line and say ‘enough is enough’.

Garry Cook said…

‘We are in the hunt and have been talking to them on a regular basis. We will continue to do so until we feel it is not right to bring the player to the club or he decides not to come. Although there is long way to go, we are optimistic.’

‘There are some complexities (to a possible deal) that you don’t normally associate with signing a player.’

Mark Hughes added…

‘Perhaps in the last 18 months he has not reached his potential. We are offering him an opportunity that will stimulate him and enable him to get back to the level he was at before.’

‘I think it could be an interesting idea for him. Maybe what we are doing here would attract him more than going to an established Champions League club.’

Vital Man City says…

‘Only a few days ago Goofy was seen playing in a charity game in his native country. His stomach was hanging over his shorts and his cheeks looked as though he had just finished his third helping of a Big Mac meal.’

‘His weekly salary has been mooted anywhere between £130,000 and £200,000. If this is true then those at City who are pulling out all the stops in an attempt to bring ‘Five Bellies’ to Eastlands should take a long hard look at themselves and say, is it worth it. Failing that, they could always join Goofy at McDonalds for a slap-up dinner!
