Micah Richards is fit enough to start, but Mark Hughes made two changes to the starting eleven from Monday night. Elano replaced Hamann and Ched Evans made his first Premier League start at home, replacing Jo, who seems to have mysteriously disappeared from the squad.

The game started brightly both Robinho and Garrido tested Sorenson. Robinho`s shot stung the hands of Sorenson, while Garrido`s cross was intercepted by Sorenson just before Evans could have connected with a clear header. However City did not have to wait long before they would beat Sorenson. On the 14th minute, Wright-Phillips chipped the ball into the box where Elano headed it on to Evans, who maturely slid the ball back to Robinho who buried the ball past Sorenson. 1-0

Stoke City sent a message to Manchester City on the 20th Minute. A Stoke corner, and forced a great save from Joe Hart, who tipped the ball around the post. Manchester City from then on took full control. They played the ball around the pitch like a training routine.

Ched Evans was forced off just before halftime after picking up a knock; he was replaced by Daniel Sturridge. Manchester City then nearly suffered the same fate they had against Newcastle on Monday. Poor defending from Richard Dunne left Sidibe through on goal, but failed to get his shot on target. In all honesty it was close to going out the stadium that finding the back of the net.

The Second half began, and Manchester City quickly doubled their lead. On the 47th Minute, after great play by Sturridge, Robinho was left to just slot the ball home after Sturridge had played the through ball.

Manchester City then pilled on the pressure. Shaun Wright-Phillips snap shot was blocked by Sorenson, and Micah Richards justified why he is a defender, by missing the target from a mere 8-yards out.

Joe Hart Celebrating his new 5-year deal at City was called upon again. A sweet shot from Soares was cleverly tipped over the crossbar.

City where really moving up the gears now. Robinho on the 64th minute had his chance to complete his hat-trick but fired straight at Sorenson, whereas either side of the keeper, and Robinho would have been celebrating his Hat-trick.

However he didn`t have to wait too long. On the 72nd Minute, Robinho grabbed his third after a very nice move. Robinho received the ball from Ireland and found Wright-Phillips, who in turn rolled the ball to Sturridge. Sturridge pulled the ball back across the edge of the box, and Robinho fired the ball past Sorenson, Brilliant!

Shaun Wright-Phillips and Ireland both should have made the deficit bigger. Both where played through one-on-one with Sorenson but both with the same result! First SWP couldn`t quite make his mind up and instead just didn`t do anything and Sorenson gained the ball from under his little feet. Then Ireland was played through by that man Robinho, but his clever chip flew inches over the bar. That was the last action of a very comfortable game for City.
