Providing City manage to beat Sheffield Wednesday in next week’s 3rd round cup replay they will entertain Championship side Southampton in the 4th Round.
In a draw that failed to produce any really imaginative ties, City will be pleased to have managed a home tie this time around.
The tie does once again face the possibility of being moved as both City and Trafford have been drawn at home with Trafford facing Southampton’s close neighbours, Portsmoth.
Something tells me GMP won’t sanction both games for a Saturday 3pm kick off.
As stated at the top all of this is naturally dependant on City beating Wednesday in next week’s replay.
