Manchester City may scupper Arsenal’s proposed deal with Zenit Saint Petersburg and put an offer in for the 27-year-old striker.
Arsenal are thought to have tabled a £10million bid the Russian international, however according to the Sun, the offer was immediate dismissed. No new offers have arrived from the London club.

‘I can confirm that Zenit did get an official offer of about £10m from Arsenal for Andrei Arshavin. It was rejected as insufficient. No new offers have arrived from them since.’
By all accounts, Zenit are going to hold out for their £23million asking price.
With Manchester City struggling to find a regular goal scorer, should Mark Hughes go all out and scupper Arsenal’s proposed one and only January signing.
