City Midfielder Messages A Reminder He’s Ready And Available

|

Manchester City teenage sensation, Brahim Diaz has reminded us that he’s ready and available for selection.

The 19-year-old Spain U21 midfielder posted the following via his Instagram account earlier today.

“Already two years since one of the most special days in my life: my professional debut for @mancity.”

City debut

Barely 17, the excellent dribbler made his first-team Manchester City debut on 21 September 2016 in a League Cup tie against Swansea City. His 80th-minute substitute was the beginning of what is hoped to be a long and successful City career.

Five days after making his debut Diaz signed his first professional contract. His deal is up for renewal next summer.

In an interview with Spanish sports paper Mundo Deportivo a few months ago Brahim hinted he was ready and available to play a further part in Pep Guardiola’s team.

“I want to continue my development, be a success at City and win titles.

“I just want to play as much as I can and keep learning. I would like to play more minutes – I am ambitious and want to stay at the club for a long time.

“My goal is to win everything. The Champions League and the Premier League are important objectives. The Champions League is beautiful, but all we want to do is keep winning and give a lot of happiness to our fans.”

Will Pep name him in his squad to face Cardiff City on Saturday?

I can’t see it if I’m honest. Having said that he’d have a golden opportunity to make an impact this Tuesday (25 September) in the Carabao Cup tie, away at Oxford United.
