Manchester City has bowed to pressure from SPL side Celtic, who, apparently are starved of cash, and has relented to the poultry offer of £1million for striker Georgios Samaras.
Greek international Samaras made the move up north to Parkhead in January in a loan; however, Celtic boss Gordon Strachan is so short of money the original asking price of £3m had to be reduced just to off-load the Manchester City failure.
The 23-year-old made 16 appearances in the Celtic jersey since joining, scoring a mere five goals in the process.
Samaras is expected to put pen to paper within days.
