Whilst the Manchester united tabloid otherwise known as the Daily Mirror reports that the debt ridden club may attempt to buy Micah Richards, one wonders why on earth would England’s number one prospect want to move to a club that is burdened with debt and has an ageing old team and manager.
One wonders how united, with a transfer budget of 20m a year are going to keep tabs with cash rich City. In the coming years, whilst City see Johnson, Onouha, Richards, Hart and possibly a few others growing into full English internationals, united will be extremely concerned how they are going to replace their old brigade of Fergie, Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Van de Saar etc.
Added to that we recently saw in the Carling Cup that the rags have little quality coming through the ranks. It may also be worth mentioning there has been three games this season between City and the Manchester imposters and City have won all three, First team, reserves and under 18s.
On the basis of the above, it would appear it is in fact more likely that City will step in and help united by buying one of their younger stars rather than the other way around. Don`t rule out a 20m bid for Ronaldo, with him on the right and Petrov on the left.
Sadly, the Mirror is not moving with the times, United have gone from the richest to the poorest club, and look at united, its all hear and now, whilst across the City that is the Manchester City, it is all shaping up for a fantastic future.
The future is Blue, but lets forgive the Mirror, when all is said and done. They have never given anyone any real news, and whilst they cannot see what is happening at Old Trafford (very apt name) they have little knowledge about anything other than the colour red. The chances of Micah joining united is absolutely zero. He is far too ambitious. Now Arsenal, well, that is a different story.
