We only have the say of the Mail here but they are claiming that Albert Rusnak will be leaving the club on a permanent basis in the New Year.

This wouldn’t come as too much of a surprise though in many ways would it….

Currently on loan with SC Cambuur, where the 20-year-old has been impressing, there isn’t any shortage of reported interested in the attacking midfielder with Heerenveen, PAOK and Groningen all said to be ‘keeping an eye’ with the intention of making a move for him when January arrives.

Having always been keen to make the breakthrough at the Etihad, the Slovakia had joined us as a 16-year-old, but with his chances limited it has been decided that he will bid a ‘fond farewell’ as he’s keen to continue to have the regular impact at first-team level he’s enjoyed on loan in the Dutch league.

Such has been the impression he’s made the Mail says that their Dutch counterparts in the media have grown to know him as the ‘Pearl of the Eredivisie.’
