These are really interesting statistics; Shay Given has appeared in all but one of our matches this season which was when Stuart Taylor made his debut at Glanford Park in the FA Cup. Gareth Barry has made 37 starts for City which was probably when he was given a rest against Wigan last night. The most high profile player that has made the least amount of starts is Nedum Onouha, who I fear will be gone at the end of the season. Ned is a top player and I much prefer him to the jittery Kolo Toure. He’s a great young prospect and one we should not let slip away. Finally, the players that has made the most sub appearances is Roque Santa Cruz with 12; however this is probably down to the number of injuries he has sustained this season. I think Ade could benefit from having someone else in his position really pushing for a starting berth.
