Come On Mancio, See Us Through

It’s crunch time for MCFC in a campaign where promise and expectancy have surpassed by lightyears that of any season in decades. Roberto Mancini is at the controls of destiny…

The legion of anti-City hacks droaned on in recent weeks that City had played nobody until the ill fated trip to a revitalised Everton. An insult to the likes of Stoke, Wolves, Middlesbrough and Blackburn whom a City under previous evidence of Mark Hughes’ leadership would have struggled to overcome. Nevermind some of the scintillating football City have produced under Mancini.

City assemble at Carrington today knowing that their half arsed efforts at Goodison Park, if repeated in this fortnight’s three cup tests against the rags and Scunthorpe, would leave our season on the brink.

Blues are still coming to terms with their side still being in amongst it in three domestic competitions by mid January and only having been beaten on three occasions. There’s an element of dreamland about all this meaning that feet need to be secured firmly on the ground. Mancini, no mug, has the credentials to ensure that a side capable of some fantastic football stays focused.

They didn’t at Everton and I for one would have liked City to have had a crack at Everton without the distraction of a League Cup Semi-Final to follow less than 72 hours later.

So timely kick up the collective backside accepted, let’s get behind the lads and give it everything through these next three fixtures.

This City side has it in them to absolutely terrorise any side on their day…..think on, crank up the sound and enjoy the video…
