Date For The Diary – Champions League & Carabao Cup Draw On The Same Day

Manchester City Football Club enters the draw for the Champions League group stage and Carabao Cup third round this Thursday, 30 August 2018.

Manchester City crashed out at the quarter-final stage last season 5-2 on aggregate to an ‘impressive’ (I hate saying that word) Liverpool. However, this is a new chapter in City’s evolution under Pep Guardiola – the Holy Grail is up to grabs!

Champions League group stage draw

The 2018/19 Champions League group stage draw begins at 5 pm BST on Thursday 30 August.

The draw will take place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

The draw will be streamed live on the UEFA website, and will also be broadcast live on BT Sport 2 from 4.30pm.

MCFC will play their first group game on either Tuesday 18 or Wednesday 19 September.

Carabao Cup third round draw

Last seasons Cup winners, Manchester City enter the League Cup at the third round stage. The tie has been penciled in for the week commencing Monday 24 September.

This year’s competition will employ VAR (Video Assistant Referee) at all Premier League grounds.

Sky Sports Studios in Isleworth, London will host the draw which begins at 7 pm BST and is live on the Sky Sports Football channel.
