Exactly 12 months ago Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini set about recruiting the additions required for City to challenge in the UEFA Champions League and also the Premier League. David Silva, one of the new and world beating Spanish internationals was identified as being the player who could significantly strengthen the team and was signed from Valencia.
Having snubbed Real Madrid and Chelsea the 25-year-old began a new chapter at Eastlands. He formed a unique partnership with Captain Fantastic, Carlos Tevez and almost immediately the partnership became one of the most deadliest in the Premier League.
Silva is sure to continue to be popular with the City faithful. He adds style and skill to the industrial City midfield and I am sure this season he’ll surpass the previous campaign and given time he’ll no doubt become a City legend.
