Silly season in full swing or is there in anyway some truth to reports that former Chelsea man Kevin de Bruyne and Madrid’s Sergio Ramos are being lined up for City moves.

Probably nothing more than silly season but who knows….

If the Mail is right then not only is Vincent Kompany our inspirational captain he also acts as a transfer adviser to Manuel Pellegrini on who he should sign, as they report that Kompany is ‘encouraging’ a move for de Bruyne who is now at German outfit Wolfsburg after Chelsea sold him for £18m almost a year ago.

His Belgium international teammate has been given a ‘ringing endorsement’ with it ‘understood’ Pellegrini, and City sporting director Txiki Begiristain, have been told that ‘not only is De Bruyne talented enough to play for the club but also has the right attitude and personality.’

Having taken the guidance of the guru he is on a ‘provisional list of possible’ players we could target next summer?

Also on that list, as far as Spanish reports go, will be Sergio Ramos? What ‘sources’ claim to be in the know here I’m not sure but a failure to sign a new contract, which runs until 2017, could see the 28-year-old move on.

We’re said to be ‘monitoring the situation’ with him seen as someone to give us greater strength in defence. Also the same reports claims that both Matija Nastasic and Eliaquim Mangala could move on though….
