Fabian Delph would appear to be on his way to the Etihad Stadium with the Villa captain ‘set’ for City according to BBC WM.

Rumours have been rife the England man was one of those Manuel Pellegrini was looking to sign this summer and with the BBC covering this, so often a reliable source, you tend to think it’s a good bet we’ll soon see those official photos of Fabian holding aloft a City shirt!

Delph, who took some time to realise the potential that was obvious as a youngster with Leeds that brought his move to Villa Park in 2009, only signed a new contract in January that was keeping him at the club ‘for the long run’ but that run would be for a further six-months only it would seem?!

Villa have gone to Portugal for a pre-season training camp but the 25-year-old isn’t among the travelling party according to reports with a medical to take place to probably make Delph a City man, and I think he’ll be a good addition.

Another of our summer targets is, of course, Raheem Sterling but he’s now back in training with Liverpool but that too isn’t expected to remain that case for long with a renewed offer forthcoming….
