Der Bomber Slams Tevez

Blues striker legend Uwe Rösler is appalled at the actions of Carlos Tevez and has urged Roberto Mancini to strip ‘Joorabchians’ puppet’ of the City captaincy…

The courageous Rösler in an interview with BBC GMR made his viewpoint more than clear:

‘City supporters idolise Tevez because of the way he is playing and the way he is leading by example on the field. But we have seen the other side when he is not living up to his responsibility as club captain off the field. That is disappointing and difficult to understand. I would take the captaincy away from him, 100%.’

The man whose Dad bombed the swamp is in line with the vast majority of City fans who will not have a problem with Tevez being sold, and sold quickly:

‘I like players who want to play for the manager. I would let him go as long as the price is right. City have to get the money back for him. They are fortunately in a very good position regarding the owners and replacing him.’

Planet Blue knows that the longer that Tevezgate drags on and the more Joorabchian telephones various slavvering hacks with his latest anti-City soundbites, the greater the risk of this saga destabilising a terrifically promising season.

However, Uwe underlined the importance of maintaining a squad who are up for the cause:

‘In the long term it is important that every player is totally committed to City.’
