Does It Matter If City Miss Out On Alexis Sanchez?

Tim Sherwood on BT Sport: ‘If you’re an attacking player, you want to play for Pep Guardiola. If you’re a defensive player, you want to go to Old Trafford and play for Jose Mourinho.

Arsenal want around £35m, his agent wants £5m, but more importantly Sanchez reportedly wants to come to Manchester City.

If we wait until the summer we get him on a free while his agent will more than likely receive a similar lump sum.

If Manchester United hijack the deal during this transfer window by splashing the cash does it really matter if we miss out?

With 18 days left until the January transfer window slams shut which way do you think it will go?

On a personal note, I have a feeling MCFC will not pay any more than £20m – if Arsenal turn down the offer, which of course they are entitled to do then I’ll place a wager we’ll get him on a free and he’ll be wearing a sky blue shirt come the summer.
