Bosnian Berserker Edin Dzeko will NOT be leaving Wolfsburg according to the German club’s sporting director Dieter Hoeness…

Dzeko was on absolute fire for pseudo Dutch coach Steve McClaren’s new charges last season and had been nailed on for a big money move to The Premier League this summer. City were understood to be in pole position alongside Chelsea for the big striker’s signature with hard up united, as usual mentioned in hopeful dispatches by hack friends.

If a release clause in the player’s contract been met yesterday, a deal would almost certainly have gone through. Hoeness explained:

‘The conditions have not been met. We are very pleased that the period of uncertainty is over. He is a player of huge quality who would have been very difficult for us to replace.’
