Man City crushed a Vietnam XI on Monday eight-one. Buzz Lightyear feels the EDS lads again showed potential but we can’t get carried away what we do against West Brom is what really matters….

While the score line is good and once again the EDS lads did their bit, it was a friendly and wholesale changes on both sides.

Vietnam are 143 in terms of World position and we should not get carried away with the result as the only one that matters shortly will be the one against the Baggies in two weeks.

You do however have to look at the performances of the EDS lads and the critics who say we have no-one coming through the ranks and on this performance there was a few who took the eye. Lopes, Garcia, Evans, Denayer, Roberts, Pozo.

Goals from Kolarov, beauty from a free kick and a penalty, obviously a lot better than the one against Roma.

Silva a couple, Sterling another couple, with Lopes and Pozo adding to the tally and an 8-1 result.

There will be tougher games this season, but fitness is going in the right direction with no injuries.

City travel to Stuttgart on Saturday for their last friendly of the pre-season.
