Injured City Captain Carlos Tevez has spoken from his home in Buenos Aires. He is determined to face the rags at Eastlands next Wednesday night…

In an interview with The Sun that flies in the face of the brilliant City talisman’s widely hack-alleged readiness to leave the club, the skipper sounds as if he’s ready to rough up The Glazer Empire again.

The Argentina national team’s medical staff are working with this season’s 7 goal striker while he catches up with friends and family as granted by Roberto Mancini:

‘I intend to be in the right condition for the derby against United…I believe I am getting better and will take a fitness test in Buenos Aires over the weekend and will assess the situation after that.’

Tevez has scored a sensational 36 goals in 50 league and cup starts for The Citizens and is clearly eager to get back to England and lead the side by example again:

‘I hear all the City news and have suffered because of those two defeats. But the season is long and we will have chances to advance up the table.’
