Everton v City Preview

City certainly have the upper hand in the historical records of securing more victories than Everton. However since the inception of the Premier league we have only won once at Goodison making it the preverbial graveyard for the City following. The only victory in the premiership came in the premiership’s inaugural year where we scored all four goal in a 3-1 victory with Brightwell giving Everton a consolation after City went three nil up. The only other time we came close to taking all three points was New Year’s day 2003 when and Foe scored only for Steve Howey to let Lei Tie lean on him and send a ball through for Radsinski to score and make it 2-2 in the dying minutes. Today’s game see’s Dabo included in the squad after his harsh 3 game suspension which is probably the only change from last week’s squad. If the result goes right for Everton they could be in third place, something I’m sure they will be up for. City rarely win two on the bounce and with this second fixture being away and our away form being awful, this has a home victory written all over it. But hey this is City and I thought West Ham would beat us, little did I know how poor they were.

Player to Watch: Tim Cahill – see him score his usual trade mark header against us!
