Manchester City thrashed fierce rivals Manchester United 6-3 on Sunday and Jack Grealish was one of many players Pep Guardiola will be pleased with after an impressive performance.
The 27-year-old had been criticised in the past for playing it too safe in possession, but Grealish was hailed for taking off the handbrake and giving United’s defenders a torrid time at the Etihad Stadium.

Against the Red Devils, Grealish created three chances, had three successful dribbles and won three freekicks, so he was one of City’s most-threatening players before being substituted midway through the second half.
Karl Matchett of the Independent gave the England international a player rating of 8/10 and said he was ‘excellent’. Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail gave a player rating of 9/10 and said he had his ‘best game for the club’.
Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News gave Grealish a player rating of 9/10 and called his performance ‘outstanding’. Ian Whittell of the Telegraph gave the 27-year-old a player rating of 8/10 and credited him for continuing his impressive run of form over the weekend.
Next up for City is a home clash with FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. Grealish will hope to get the nod and put in a good performance.
