A lot has been happening and may continue to happen for my beloved football club Man City in the transfer window this summer. The acquisition of top English talents like Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph alongside future star Patrick Roberts shows the club means business and will aim to reclaim the Premier League and make decent progress in Europe next season.

All City fans must be eager for the season to get underway as my crystal ball tells me the attacking yet deadly partnership of Sterling, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Kun Aguero as well as Fabian Delph will be fascinating to watch and if they gel well then the Premier League trophy may be out of reach for 2nd placed team by February or March and I am pretty sure we will have advanced to the later stages of the Champions League (very ambitious yet possible).

The ghost of FFP is now gone and with some players heading out of the club this summer then we may need to add another “crack” player before the transfer window come to a close.

We also need to give the EDS kids some appearances in cups so as to gradually mould them and give them confidence in the first team. This will go a long way in ensuring the project Sheikh Mansur started to grow in to real stars and this means in future we may not need these expensive buys but develop our own stars thus making profits as a club and watch as other clubs contend with FFP rules.

Here in Kenya the fanbase of MCFC is rapidly growing thanks to the young generation of fans who are starting to support football and they choose Man City simply because of the beauty they see on their screens whenever Pellegrini’s men are on the pitch. A recent study here in Nairobi showed the growing number of Man City fans are aged 12-21 which shows with time and from this encouraging statistics then in a decade from now the Blue flag of MCFC will be flying in the world and will be unstoppable.. Amen.
