Expectations Low

In a recent poll carried out by mcfconline.co.uk 74% of those polled have little expectation that the 2006/07 season will be an improvement on last season’s showing.

Only 14% of those polled believe City are capable of a top ten finish next season.
9% believe things will get worse and City will be relegated.

The poll is indicitive of the general feelings of malaise amongst City supporters. Many believe the club has once more shown a lack of ambition in the transfer market that will be rewarded by a relegation battle at best.

If there are to be no major signings in the coming weeks it will be hard to see City maintaining an average crowd of much above 40,000 next season. It seems expectations are low which may in turn keep some people away.
