Speaking in an interview with Dugout, ex-Man City striker Mario Balotelli has looked back on the famous final day of the 2011/2012 season and shared his memories surrounding Sergio Aguero’s iconic title-winning goal.
Balotelli, who bagged 30 goals and assisted seven others during his time with the Sky Blues, departing for AC Milan in January 2013 after then-manager Roberto Mancini bid an emotional farewell to the player, has now taken the time to relive that momentous occasion at the Etihad.
Were you a Mario Balotelli fan whilst he was at City?
Absolutely, sheer quality
Nope, terrible attitude
The Italian supplied a crucial assist for Aguero who buried his title-winning goal in the dying minutes of the 2011/2012 season, a moment now remembered as ‘93:20‘, with some City fans taking the time to appreciate Balotelli’s ‘under-appreciated‘ contribution for us in response to the interview clip.
As well as this, our supporters have taken the time to relive that day themselves – lauding former boss Mancini and loving the ‘amazing‘ past footage.

Mario was under appreciated. Aguero, tevez, dzeko, balo is the best 4 striker options of any epl team

Fair play to Mancini, the two strikers came on. 1 scored and 1 assisted.
