‘Fantastic’, ‘Excellent’ – Some fans say ‘incredible’ Man City player ‘is unreal’

Manchester City enjoyed a 5-0 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon and Kevin De Bruyne was one of many players who shone at the Etihad Stadium, leading to praise from supporters on social media.

The 29-year-old scored a brilliant opening goal to give City the lead, rifling an effort from distance past Jordan Pickford after being given too much space outside the area. He then turned provider minutes later for Gabriel Jesus to score, but De Bruyne’s overall performance was deserving of plaudits.

Against Everton, the Belgian international played for 90 minutes, had 85 touches, completed 81% of his 58 passes, created seven chances, had two shots which both hit the target, whipped in six crosses with 50% finding a teammate, had six successful dribbles, gave away three fouls and drew one freekick.

De Bruyne has made 39 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals with 18 assists. He spent a portion of the campaign out with a hamstring injury which cause his form to dip upon his return, but the 28-year-old has been outstanding for a while now and looks brilliant on Sunday.
