Earlier today, Saturday 5th March 2011 FIFA, the worlds football governing body announced the wearing of snoods in matches will be outlawed from 1st July 2011.
A FIFA statement read…
‘The IFAB agreed that in relation to Law 4 – Players’ Equipment, the wearing of snoods should not be permitted.’
A FIFA representative had said last month that snoods could prove dangerous to the wearer if grabbed by another player.
